for learning how to use the CNC mill, we had to do a very similar set up and build for the project, so our teacher swung in another little curve ball, and made it so we had to create a brake part, from a plan he had made up, and we had no direction on making it so we had to figure out on our own how to cut part of the circle out, and how to do the curved edges. It made for a nice challenge, and most of the class couldn’t figure it out so after another class or worktime and struggling our teacher showed us all the simple way to do it that none of us had figured out so that we could get it done and move onto the next part.
Once we had the brake part design done, just like with the router project, we brought our design into fusion 360 and set up our contrainsts and tool selection and all of our tool paths to tell the mill what to do. Which was a bit easier the second time around, once I had done it once before. Then I took it down and set it up in the mill.
After I had all of my constraints set I too it down to the CNC mill and set it up and mulled out my project, and had it all done.
